Why am I here?
In August 2004, a man ran a red light and hit my car with his pickup truck. I was injured. I experienced a number of broken bones and all the things that go along with them. I also experienced a bad knock to the head. Even though at the time I had multiple symptoms of a brain injury, it was believed that I would be fine neurologically and that my problems were primarily orthopedic.
This is turning out to not necessarily be the case.
I started this site to serve as a repository for myself. I am so utterly horrified by the fact that the term “Brain Injury” is going to be the gift that keeps on giving from this awful experience that I can’t write about this subject at my “regular” blog. This is too private.
At the same time, I need to record this time and these experiences. For myself. In case I forget.
